Bright Beings Academy is rooted in community.
Alongside our online classes and courses, we work with local centres, councils, charities and organisations to bring gentle, accessible Qi Gong and wellbeing workshops to people who might not otherwise find their way to this kind of practice.
This page introduces the partners we currently collaborate with, and some of the organisations we’ve worked with in the past.
Milaap Multicultural Centre, New Malden
Every Wednesday, Peter teaches two Qi Gong classes at Milaap Multicultural Centre in New Malden.
These sessions are designed to be:
Gentle and accessible for older adults and people with health conditions
Social and welcoming, with time for connection as well as movement
A regular rhythm in the week that supports physical, emotional and social wellbeing
Milaap’s multicultural community and the joyful style of Korean Qi Gong blend beautifully, creating a warm, inclusive space where people can move, breathe and feel part of something bigger.
The Wellbeing Centre (formerly Longmead Centre)
On Friday afternoons, Peter teaches a Qi Gong class at the Wellbeing Centre (previously known as the Longmead Centre).
This class offers:
Calm, steady movement to support balance, flexibility and confidence
A friendly group environment where people can support one another
Time to reconnect with the body after a busy or stressful week
The focus is on meeting people exactly where they are, with options to sit, adapt movements and build trust in the body step by step.
Hook Centre Outreach – Kingston & Croydon Councils
Bright Beings Academy also works in partnership with Kingston and Croydon councils, teaching an outreach Qi Gong class at the Hook Centre every Wednesday evening.
This outreach work helps:
Bring mind–body practices to people who may not attend a gym or mainstream class
Support social prescribing, personalised care and prevention work locally
Offer a gentle, community-based activity that can sit alongside medical or psychological support
The aim is to make Qi Gong a realistic, sustainable option for ordinary people dealing with stress, long-term health conditions or social isolation.
Graham Spicer Institute
In collaboration with the Graham Spicer Institute, Bright Beings Academy runs workshops and classes to support the local community.
Together, we:
Put on accessible Qi Gong and wellbeing sessions
Offer workshops that combine movement, breath and simple education on stress and self-care
Create community events that help people connect, relax and learn something new
These collaborations allow us to bring the benefits of Qi Gong and mind–body practice into a wider range of community settings.

Across these partnerships, the common threads have been:
Supporting older adults and vulnerable groups through gentle movement and breath
Helping people manage stress, anxiety and low mood in a body-based, accessible way
Reducing loneliness and social isolation through regular classes and workshops
Offering practical tools that fit alongside existing services and professional care
One of the clearest examples of this work is the Brighter Living project, where Ki Gong and armchair yoga were offered to older adults across parts of Surrey and South West London.
The Brighter Living Qi Gong Impact Report highlighted improvements in:
Everyday movement and flexibility
Confidence and balance
Mood, energy and overall quality of life
Feelings of connection and belonging

We envisage a diverse global community of people who have connected to their inner wisdom, vision and intuition and who are willing to collaborate towards a balanced and productive world of abundance. To embrace systems that serve humanity and encourage the insight and courage to let go of any systems that do not. Allow space to express their multi-facetted and multi-dimensional experience which is aligned to their personal profound purpose coherently. Inspire everyone to move away from self-harm and self-doubt to self-healing and self-realisation.
