Peter Paul Parker is the founder of the Bright Beings Academy, a Dahn Master, sound healer and long-time student of the deeper mysteries of life.
He teaches a joyful Korean style of Qi Gong that helps you reconnect with your body, calm your mind and wake up your natural energy – even if you feel stiff, stressed or out of practice.
Peter’s journey into energy work began long before the Academy existed.
As a young man, he trained for many years in the Bruce Lee system of martial arts. That experience gave him:
A deep respect for the body
An understanding of focus, discipline and self-defence
A first glimpse into how energy, intention and movement come together
Later, Peter spent years as a professional musician. He loved the creativity and connection of music. But as the industry changed, the lifestyle and values of that world no longer resonated with him.
Something inside was calling for a different path. One that honoured body, mind and spirit together.
That path appeared when he discovered Korean-style Qi Gong.
From the very first classes, Peter felt at home in this Korean system of Qi Gong (often called Ki Gong). It combined clear structure with playfulness, joy and heart.
In this tradition, instructors are trained not just to “run exercises”, but to:

Teach Qi Gong in a joyful, encouraging way
Help students laugh, relax and feel safe in their own bodies
Use rhythm, clapping, sounds and simple movement to wake up energy
Blend meditation, breath work and physical practice into one experience
As Peter went deeper into the training, something important happened. His own stress and anxiety began to soften. He felt more grounded, more present and more able to meet life as it was.
This personal transformation is at the core of how he teaches today.
Peter committed fully to the practice and completed his formal instructor training in the Korean Qi Gong system.
He then continued on to become a Dahn Master – a path that carries with it a clear vow:
To use these teachings for the betterment of humanity.
As part of this journey, Peter:
Spent years learning how energy moves through the body and mind
Studied meditation, breathwork and mind–body self-healing methods
Trained to guide people of all ages and abilities, including those with health challenges
Refined his ability to hold safe, grounded space for deep emotional release and spiritual growth
Peter brings the discipline of martial arts, the creativity of music, and the depth of Dahn Master training into every class and course.
In 2016, Peter travelled to Seoul, South Korea, as part of the British team for the Kookhak Korean Style Ki Gong competition.
The team won the championship that year.
Being a Qi Gong champion at this level was more than a medal moment. It was a powerful confirmation of:

The strength of the Korean Qi Gong tradition
The effectiveness of consistent, joyful training
The potential each person has when they connect body, breath and focus
This experience feeds directly into how Peter teaches today: with precision, pride in the art, and huge respect for each student’s potential.
If you join one of Peter’s classes, you’ll notice a few things straight away.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, not competitive.
Movements are gentle and adaptable, with options if you have limited mobility or chronic conditions.
There is often laughter, clapping and lightness, even while doing deep work.
You are encouraged to listen to your body, not push through pain.
Spiritual ideas are shared in a grounded, non-dogmatic way, so you can take what resonates and leave the rest.
Peter blends his Korean Qi Gong training with his experience as:
A sound healer
A guide for highly sensitive and intuitive people
A teacher who has worked with older adults, charities, schools and community groups
He is also informed by emerging research into Qi Gong and mind–body practices, which you can explore in articles like:
There are several ways to experience Peter’s teaching through the Bright Beings Academy.

His Dahn Master certificate
Documentation from the 2016 Kookhak Korean Style Ki Gong championship in Seoul, Korea
These are here to give you transparency and confidence in the standard of training behind each class and course.
More important than any certificate, though, is how you feel when you practise.
Peter’s intention – in every session, whether online or in person – is that you leave feeling:
A little lighter in your body
A little calmer in your mind
A little more connected to the bright being you already are.

Sundo is one of the original Korean mind–body practices, with roots said to go back thousands of years to mountain hermits who devoted their lives to meditation, breathing and energy cultivation.
Traditionally, Sundo practitioners trained in remote mountain areas, using deep abdominal breathing (often focused in the lower energy centre, or Dahn-jun), specific postures and quiet, steady concentration to strengthen the body while calming the mind.
Rather than being purely a “martial art” or purely a “meditation”, Sundo weaves the two together – movement, stillness and breath all support each other.
In modern times, Sundo is often taught as a gentle but powerful way to improve flexibility, balance and circulation while also easing stress and anxiety.
The emphasis is on relaxing into the posture, breathing from the lower abdomen and feeling energy circulate through the body, rather than pushing or forcing.
Many of the principles in today’s Korean-style Qi Gong – joyful group practice, strong focus on the lower energy centre, and the blend of stretching, breathing and meditation – are directly inspired by this older Sundo tradition.
We envisage a diverse global community of people who have connected to their inner wisdom, vision and intuition and who are willing to collaborate towards a balanced and productive world of abundance. To embrace systems that serve humanity and encourage the insight and courage to let go of any systems that do not. Allow space to express their multi-facetted and multi-dimensional experience which is aligned to their personal profound purpose coherently. Inspire everyone to move away from self-harm and self-doubt to self-healing and self-realisation.
